On Sunday 4th July, over 2000 revellers turned up to enjoy Church Street’s 7th Annual Festival. The free, fun, and family-friendly day was organised by Church Street Neighbourhood Management and hosted by Kirsty Nichol, Miss Earth Girl 2010.
Local residents were entertained by fantastic singing and dance acts, including local girl band Serese, who have been nominated for the Asian Music Award. Youngsters were entertained by Paul the Magician and teenagers could try their hand at Parkour, urban street dancing and Zumba. Those who wanted something a little less energetic were treated to a cooking demonstration of Aubergine and Mushroom Soup and Baba Ganoush, part of Church Street’s Cooking Challenge and the Anatomy of a Street.
Church Street Festival is part of Paddington Festival – a selection of cultural events taking place over north Paddington over the summer. To find out the next event in the calendar visit http://paddingtonfestival.co.uk/ .
