Key successes include . . .

Refurbishment of Lisson Gardens
The Salisbury Street end of these Gardens has had a facelift, following consultation with local people. The Neighbourhood Team and the charity Groundwork raised the funding, and the new area was launched at half term in October 2008, with sports sessions for children run by Westminster Sports Unit. Lisson Gardens Association is being relaunched and it will manage the space and organise regular activities.

Cherwell Triangle and Time Plates
This paved area, where Salisbury Street joins Church Street, was refurbished in the spring of 2007. New trees were planted, new benches installed and there are 11 granite slabs featuring moments from Church Street's history. These historic moments were voted for by more than 200 residents from a longlist of 40.

Hanging baskets
These have now been installed along Church Street, and all the way along Lilestone Street to the junction with Rossmore Road.

Communal gardens
The Neighbourhood Board and CityWest Homes have developed a procedure for opening these gardens so that residents can enjoy them from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. Previously they were locked all the time — a waste of open space in a neighbourhood where there are so few private gardens.
