There is an under-used area within the Lisson Green Play Centre site which has been ear-marked for a new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). Funding is being sought to build this by 2010.
The neighbourhood team is also working with Westminster Libraries to ensure that the new, expanded Church Street Library – which will open in May 2010 – is a bright and lively facility fit for the 21st century, and one that meets the needs and desires of the local community. Further information about the planned development can be found on the Westminster council website
Broadley Gardens – the pocket park in Broadley Street – has subsidence so is having to be completely cleared and then redesigned. The neighbourhood team is working with Westminster Parks to make sure local people are fully involved in this design. We are also looking to see if there is an alternative location for Independent Mothers' Pre-school (IMPs)in the neighbourhood, or whether it serves the local community best for them to return to Broadley Gardens.
